Knowing of Second Opinion’s experience in the LSC market they approached us to discuss the options.
Using our network of experienced sales and management trainers we designed and delivered a bespoke Selling Skills training programme for 33 training providers contracted with Learning and Skills Council London East.
The training was designed to increase the skills levels of training providers and improve their ability to market LSC funded training programmes. All aspects of the training were designed to be relevant to the delegates’ everyday work activities. Delegates were involved in interactive skills practice sessions with support and coaching throughout the four days of the training and by telephone after the formal training was complete.
As a result of the training one delegate reported a 56% increase in the number of placements secured and another reported a 20% increase. Other delegates reported increasing skill levels in areas such as effective listening, questioning, coaching; networking and objection handling.
The training was extremely popular with delegates and with the LSC. All delegates said they would recommend the training to other providers and the LSC are planning to run further programmes for providers who missed out first time around.
This programme is now being made available to other Learning and Skills Councils.
